You may or may not know that Salesforce is retiring Workflow Rules and Process Builder. Workflow Rules was the first automation tool in Salesforce. It is very intuitive that allows you to schedule Tasks, send emails, and update fields. While simple to use, it is not very robust.
Process Builder came second and extended the functionality by allowing the creation of records and having enhanced logic.
Flows has taken this to a new level by adding a low code capability to provide high-level functionality and convenient debugging features. While less intuitive, its feature set will address most users’ requirements without complex custom programming.
